What does the State's Attorney do?

Along the campaign trail, I often am asked, “What is the Lake County State’s Attorney actually do?” The State’s Attorney prosecutes those accused of crimes, ensuring our community’s safety by enforcing the law and holding people who commit crimes accountable.

An effective State’s Attorney respects victims while protecting the civil liberties of the accused. My mentor, the former Lake County State’s Attorney who hired me to that office, said it best, “a State’s Attorney must be firm and always compassionate.”

’m running to be your State’s Attorney to restore safety in our Lake County communities, give victims of crime a voice, and remove politics from the Lake County State’s Attorney’s office.

I will:

  • Restore public safety in Lake County by enforcing the law;
  • As a domestic violence survivor, I will give victims of crime a voice; and
  • Remove all partisan politics from the State’s Attorney’s Office

We can achieve all these goals, but I need your help to get into office!

We are launching a MONEY BOMB fundraiser to raise $25,000 in the next two weeks. Republicans, Democrats, independents, and non-political people like myself are all stepping up. This campaign isn’t about partisan politics; it’s about keeping taxpayers, families, and seniors safe in our neighborhoods!

Will you please pitch in whatever you can to help us restore common sense in the State’s Attorney’s Office and safer communities throughout Lake County?

Yours in Service,
